Hunter Haley, MD is a board-certified physician in Sports Medicine and Family Medicine through the American Board of Family Medicine. With a focus on non-operative orthopedics and sports team care, Dr. Haley is dedicated to helping patients and athletes achieve optimal performance and recovery.
Dr. Haley earned his undergraduate degree in Sports Medicine at Samford University and a master’s degree in Rural Community Health from the University of Alabama. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Alabama-Birmingham (UAB), where he received the prestigious G. Gayle Stephens, MD Award for Outstanding Achievement in Family Medicine. He completed his residency in Family Medicine with a concentration in Sports Medicine at the University of Florida, where he was elected Chief Resident and named Resident of the Year. His advanced training culminated with a highly regarded Sports Medicine Fellowship at Andrews Sports Medicine.
Dr. Haley specializes in:
- Non-operative orthopedics
- Ultrasound-guided procedures
- Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections
- Management of acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions
- Sports concussion management
Currently, Dr. Haley is the Sports Medicine Specialist for Ole Miss Athletics and Delta State University Athletics. He has also provided care for numerous high school teams and athletes from prestigious organizations, including:
- WWE (ringside physician)
- Mercedes-Benz Marathon
- Birmingham Barons (Chicago White Sox AA affiliate)
- 2022 World Games
- United States Football League (USFL)
In addition, he has treated athletes from the University of Alabama, Auburn University, Troy University, Miles College, and the University of West Alabama. Dr. Haley sees patients in our Oxford and Cleveland clinics, offering expert non-operative orthopedic care and sports medicine services.
When he’s not caring for patients, Dr. Haley enjoys spending time with his wife, Julia, and their two children. His hobbies include hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors.
