Dr. Kurre Luber joined Oxford Orthopedics and Sports Medicine in 2008, giving him over a decade of orthopedic experience. In addition to his practice, he currently serves as Orthopedic Surgeon and Sports Medicine Specialist for both Ole Miss Athletic teams and Delta State University Athletics. During his practice he has also treated patients associated with professional sports with the United States Olympic Teams, WNBA, NBA, NFL and MLB. Dr. Luber also cares for many surrounding high school and junior college athletic programs. As a team Orthopedic Surgeon, Dr. Luber is dedicated to both prevention and treatment of orthopedic injuries. While caring for active people of all ages, Dr. Luber works with Ole Miss’s Health and Sports Performance program and stays up to date on the most current treatments for sports and activity related injuries. He has advanced experience with sports medicine and arthroscopic reconstruction, foot and ankle surgery, hand surgery, pediatric orthopedics, nerve disorders and trauma.

Dr. Luber has experience in less invasive, outpatient total joint replacements. He utilizes advanced imaging and patient matched technology to better customize knee and shoulder joint replacements. Dr. Luber’s outpatient surgery center has been recognized as a Mississippi Center of Excellence for joint replacement.

Dr. Luber remains actively involved in the educational side of medicine and was recently elected to serve as Mississippi’s Counsel of Delegates representative for the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS). He has served as President of the Mississippi Orthopedic Society. Dr. Luber has represented Mississippi at the National Orthopedic Leadership Conference in Washington, DC. He is a member of the American Orthopedic Society of Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy Association of North America. He has served as an Associate Master Instructor to other orthopedic surgeons from around the globe at the AAOS Orthopedic Learning Center in Chicago. Locally, Dr. Luber currently is a Board Member at Oxford Diagnostic Center.  He is past Chairman of the Baptist Memorial Hospital Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee and has also served on the BMH Executive Committee and Trauma Committee.

Dr. Luber is double board-certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons in both, Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine.
